Invisalign

Invisalign is a form of orthodontic treatment and is used to correct a “bad bite.” They are clear braces. There are no differences in what Invisalign does and what traditional braces do. Both move teeth to straighten crooked or crowded teeth.

Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners that fit over the upper and lower arches of teeth. They are invisible and painless. They do not interfere with speech. Basically, they provide all the same benefits of braces that use metal brackets and wires, but other people do not know that you have braces.

It is important that teeth are straight and that the upper and lower teeth meet together properly. Correcting the problem can create a nice looking smile, but more importantly treatment results in a healthier mouth. That’s because crooked and crowed teeth make cleaning your mouth difficult, which can lead to tooth decay, gum disease and tooth loss. An improper bite can interfere with chewing and speaking, can lead to abnormal wear to tooth enamel, and can lead to problems with the jaws.

Invisalign is a new breakthrough treatment that fits more patients’ lifestyles, especially older teens and adults who do not want anyone to see them wearing metal braces!
