Children

Early and Often

We recommend that your child’s first visit be six months after the first tooth comes in. This differs from only a few years ago when we recommended first visits at age three.

Dentistry Before Age Two

We look for development defects such as issues with the tongue, the palate and other soft tissues. We also look for cavities or other genetic defects of the teeth. Also, sometimes teeth can erupt or come into the mouth with cavities.

Examination Only

The first few visits are usually only examinations until the child matures and is ready for more. We love to see young faces in our practice. We are truly a family practice and see people of every age. One of our joys is seeing young patients grow and develop!

Good Habits for Life

Our goal is for children to see dentistry in a fun and positive way because this promotes good habits of oral care that last the rest of their lives.
